We are super excited to announce that positive changes have been made concerning our block ticketing for families! To set up your family box office, download the instructions below. It will walk you through the process with ease. Best of luck with your ticket selling!
Is this your first session with CYT, or do you need a reminder? Here's a brief timeline based overview of what to expect in a show process, for both students and parents:
1. Classes - Essential training for growth. You must register for a class to sign up to audition. 2. Auditions - You will be given the opportunity to sign up for an audition slot in your CYT account. 3. Dance Call - You'll learn a dance combination so the choreographer of the show can see how well you move. This happens the same day as callbacks. 4. Callbacks - A second chance for the directors to see you (if needed) to learn & perform music and/or lines from the show. Students will be notified if they receive a callback. 5. First Parent Meeting- if you are cast, this meeting is a must for parents. 6. Show Crew - if you are not cast, you can still sign up to work behind-the-scenes. 7. Rehearsals - Friday nights and Saturdays every week for about 8-9 weeks. 8. Parent Committees- Parents teams committed to the success of the production! 9. Second Parent Meeting - if you are cast, this meeting is a must for parents. 10. Move-In - The Sunday before the show opens, we move all the sets, costumes, props, etc. into the performance space. Parents are key to make this happen! 11. Tech Week - Rehearsals with students are every night in the performing space as we integrate the technical elements (lights, sound, etc.). Parents help out with their show week committees as scheduled. 12. Performances - there are 5-7 performances, usually happening Thursday-Sunday. 13. Strike - after the show, the quickest clean up session you've ever seen! 14. Cast Party - a time of celebration and awards after the show is done, normally a week after Strike.
