Have you ever wanted to play the villain instead of the hero? The king instead of the sidekick? The dragon instead of the prince? In this fun and challenging acting class, students will step outside their comfort zones and explore characters they might not normally be cast as.
Through theater games, scene work, character exploration, and improvisation, students will learn how actors use their imagination, physicality, voice, and emotions to become anyone—even characters that seem completely different from themselves. Students will tackle a variety of roles, from heroes and villains to royalty, creatures, comic characters, and everything in between.
This class focuses on building confidence, expanding acting skills, and helping young performers discover that great actors aren't limited by typecasting. By the end of the session, students will showcase scenes featuring unexpected and exciting characters they've learned to bring to life.
Because sometimes the most fun role is the one you never saw yourself playing!
