Description

Ever wondered what it takes to transform an actor into a character? In this hands-on class, students will explore the exciting world of theatrical costuming from concept to curtain call. Learn the basics of costume design, character analysis, measurements, alterations, costume organization, quick changes, and backstage wardrobe management. Students will gain practical skills in hand sewing, basic repairs, fabric selection, and costume construction while working on real-world theater projects. Whether you're interested in fashion, design, or behind-the-scenes theater magic, this class will give you the tools and experience to help bring stories to life on stage. No prior sewing experience required—just creativity and a willingness to learn!

It is my great pleasure to be involved in all aspects of theater. I am currently employed as a teacher at First Baptist Kids Academy. I love working with children and being with them. Some of my favorite hobbies are sewing and reading. I can't wait to see where God leads us this season!
