Description

Puppets are everywhere—from Sesame Street and Jim Henson’s Muppets, to theme parks, Broadway stages, and even Hollywood movies! In this exciting class, kids will dive into the magical world of puppetry.
Students will:
  • Discover the many types of puppets used in theater and entertainment
  • Design and create their very own puppet
  • Learn the basics of puppetry performance—voice, movement, and character
At the end of the session, students will showcase their new skills (and their handmade puppet friends!) in a fun final presentation.
So flex those fingers, warm up those arms, and get ready to bring your puppet to life!

*Our Winter Showcase for ALL New Braunfels classes will be MONDAY- February 2nd at New Braunfels Bible Church.

Jessica Appleford

Jessica is excited to be apart of another session at CYT! Her favorite part of teaching at CYT is watching the students grow in their talent and confidence. Jessica, her husband (Chris) and two children (Jakob & Ally) love being apart of CYT from productions to behind the scenes. Recently the family was on stage together in CCT’s Beauty and the Beast. Jessica studied Liberal Arts at Fresno State with a concentration in Children & the Arts. CYT classes taught include Acting 101, Reader’s Theater, Musical Theater, Shakespeare and her personal favorite, Voice Overs & Commercials. Jessica currently teaches middle school at New Braunfels Middle School.
