Musical Theatre Jazz Dance for Teens is an energetic, technique-based class designed to help teen performers grow as confident, versatile dancers. Students will learn proper jazz technique, strength, flexibility, and alignment while exploring the stylized movement and storytelling unique to musical theatre choreography. Through across-the-floor work and combination practice inspired by Broadway-style shows, dancers will develop musicality, performance quality, and stage presence. This class is ideal for teens looking to improve their dance skills for auditions and performances, all within a fun, encouraging, and supportive CYT environment.

**Our Spring Showcase for both Monday and Thursday classes will be Monday May 4th at Freedom Fellowship Church.

Claudia is so excited to be teaching this session here at CYT! Having a passion for theatre and dance, she’s been performing since she was 13. Claudia is an alumnus of CYT, with four years of classes, shows, and wonderful memories she holds dear to her heart. Claudia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at the University of the Incarnate Word in 2024. Claudia has been teaching and assisting dance classes for almost 10 years in the San Antonio and New Braunfels areas. Recently, Claudia had the honor of participating in the Disney College Program in Walt Disney World where she was blessed to work in entertainment as a performer. She is so honored and very excited to help kids here at CYT find their true character on and off stage, and to show them you can bring glory to God in everything you do!
