Description

Prepare your young stars for the spotlight with our Audition Prep Class! This engaging and supportive class focuses on honing the essential skills needed to shine in auditions for school plays, community productions, or even future acting opportunities. Through fun and age-appropriate exercises, students will learn the art of confident self-presentation, effective monologue delivery, and the nuances of group auditions. We'll cover the basics of stage presence, vocal projection, and the importance of expressing individuality. With constructive feedback and encouragement, our experienced instructors will guide aspiring young actors towards unlocking their full potential and navigating auditions with ease!

Valerie Lietz

An Illinois transplant, Valerie, Marty, her husband of 27 years, and her four children have made their home in New Braunfels since 2010. With a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Valerie has been teaching instrumental and vocal music for over 30 years. Valerie directs the three choirs at Grace Preparatory Academy, teaches privately, and sings on the worship team at her church. At CYT, Valerie has musically directed numerous main stage productions and summer camps and directed the 2021 production of Shrek. She loves investing in the lives of the young men and women at CYT, encouraging them to develop their God-g0iven gifts. Valerie would like to thank her family for supporting her on this journey, and the almighty God for His hand of grace and mercy!
