Description

Advanced Acting for Teens is an in-depth, challenging class for experienced young actors ready to take their craft to the next level. Students will explore advanced acting techniques through scene study, character development, script analysis, and emotional truth. The class focuses on strengthening performance skills such as motivation, subtext, timing, and ensemble work while encouraging creative risk-taking and professionalism. Through instructor-led coaching, peer feedback, and performance opportunities, teens will grow in confidence, discipline, and artistry in a supportive CYT environment that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and integrity.

**Our Spring Showcase for both Monday and Thursday classes will be Monday May 4th at Freedom Fellowship Church.

Jessica Appleford

Jessica is excited to be apart of another session at CYT after taking a year break while fighting breast cancer. Her favorite part of teaching at CYT is watching the students grow in their talent and confidence. Jessica, her husband (Chris) and two children (Jakob & Ally) love being apart of CYT from productions to behind the scenes. Two years ago the family was on stage together in CCT’s Beauty and the Beast. Jessica studied Liberal Arts at Fresno State with a concentration in Children & the Arts. CYT classes taught include Acting 101, Reader’s Theater, Musical Theater, Shakespeare, Puppetry and her personal favorite, Voice Overs & Commercials. Jessica currently teaches middle school at New Braunfels Middle School.
