Learn techniques to tackle one of the most influential playwright’s styles: Shakespeare. This course is designed for the serious actor who is willing to put in the work to gain a strong knowledge of this exciting genre. Scene work may include: Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Measure for Measure etc.


Annelise Solis

Annelise is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University, where she received a BA in Dramatic Media, with a concentration in acting and directing for theatre. She and her husband serve as Northpoint Church’s Young Adults ministry leaders, and she is a worship leader, and creative team member on Northpoint’s staff. She has loved teaching Shakespeare and Players at CYT, as well as storytelling and technical theater classes. She also had the honor of directing Godspell for CYT in 2021! If you don't know Annelise, you should know that she loves to talk about Jesus and make His name known to all generations through art and evangelism. Her great theatrical love will always be Shakespeare! Her acting credits include: I and You (Caroline), The Crucible (Mrs. Putnam), Othello (Emilia), The Fantasticks (Luisa), The Little Mermaid (Ursula).
