Class Description
This is the class that combines the three elements of musical theatre: voice, dance and acting. Be a part of the wonderful world of musical theatre by exploring storytelling, choreography, vocal technique, and character development!
This high-energy class will include warm-ups, group activities, dance routines, theatre games and performance. Students will learn to how perform a musical theatre number with an ensemble from start to finish while demonstrating confidence, focus, energy, and stage presence.

Alliyah Campbell
Alliyah has been teaching with CYT for some time now and after taking a small break she is back and excited to teach again! Alliyah has been a dancer for most of her life! Her favorite dance styles are Hip-Hop, Ballet, and Jazz. She has attended many professional workshops and classes to develop her skills and grow as a dancer/performer. She is passionate about all things dance and loves to share her knowledge with students. CYT is a family affair for Alliyah as her younger sister D’Lani is a current CYT student, her older Brother has directed, and her Mom is a member of the CYT Board. Not only is Alliyah passionate about dance but she is also passionate about kids, she has taught kids since the early age of 8 years old and has no plans on stopping. Alliyah is excited to work with your students!

Emily Evans
Soprano Emily Evans earned a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from
DePaul University and her Bachelor of Music degree fromMoody Bible Institute. In Chicago she worked with The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, The Floating Opera Company, and The DePaul Opera Theater, where she was seen most notably as the Queen of the Night in "The Magic Flute." In Dayton, Ohio she was an adjunct vocal professor at the University of Dayton, and performed with the Dayton Opera, and La Comedia Dinner most recently in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Emily can be seen at the Public Theater of San Antonio as Sibella in the upcoming performance of "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder". She is excited to have recently relocated her passions and teaching to San Antonio, and is looking forward to helping young singers glorify God through their music in the theater world and at CYT.
