Description

These two words can make even professional performers get nervous. However, auditions are actually an opportunity for you to shine. Come learn how to demystify the audition process. In this class we will cover techniques for a strong audition including slating with confidence, selecting the right song for the role you are targeting, and how to dazzle the directors in one minute. But wait.. there’s more! We will also dive into the dance call process. Students will experience a mock dance call covering new dance moves, confidence building tips, and a greater understanding of the casting process. Grow your audition skills while having fun! 

**Our class showcases will be combined this session, which means all showcase performances for all classes(Monday and Thursday) will be Monday, May 22nd!

Chelsea dePaula

Chelsea dePaula is a performer and choreographer whose passion is discovering other people’s strengths and creating opportunities for them to meet their potential. She holds a BFA in Dance and a M.Ed. in Talent Development from Texas State University, and has performed both in the USA and internationally (The Addams Family (Wednesday), RENT (Joanne), WILD (The Predator), Raw Arts Dance Festival (Dance Captain), Showtime Rock Festival, Jazz Nutcracker, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade). Chelsea currently trains with The Broadway Collective, and can often be seen singing in the worship team at Hope Arise UMC. Chelsea is so excited to share her experience and coach musical theatre students with CYT! Jonah 2:10
