Camp Description

If you are a teen looking for a show to do this summer that's high-intensity, fast-paced, and a blast to perform, then the teen Summer Stock production is for you. Over the course of 6 days, students will audition for, rehearse for, and perform a Broadway musical. With performances on Saturday at 3pm and 7pm, and Sunday at 3pm, you'll have the opportunity to grow as performer, develop your skills, and put another show on your resume with CYT. We can't wait to see you there!
Laugh yourself silly with Junie B. Jones in this hilarious Broadway Junior adaptation of Barbara Park's beloved series.

Join Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store: Junie's best friend Lucille has found new best friends - and Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. While in Mr. Scary's class Junie has trouble reading the blackboard - and she may need glasses. Add in a friendly cafeteria lady, an intense kickball tournament and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting!

Joshua Scott

Josh was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri and is a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He’s been married to his high school sweetheart, Gina, for 21 years, and the Scotts have three children: Kiersten (18, Texas Lutheran University), Isaiah (17, Canyon H.S.), and Elijah (13, Canyon M.S.). Josh taught in the North Carolina public school system for twelve years. Along the journey, he picked up professional acting, directing, and stage manager experience in New York, Virginia Beach, the mountains of North Carolina, and San Antonio. His favorite plays are Long Day’s Journey Into Night and Hamlet. Other favorites include: The Diviners, Noises Off, and the Broadway musical, Ragtime. Josh loves to teach and direct at the studio as CYT SA-NB's artistic director. His actor training is rooted in Meisner and Practical Aesthetics. B. S. - Appalachian State University M. Perry Dean

Perry recently retired from teaching in the public school system after 32 years of teaching choir and is thrilled to work with CYT! He was Musical Director on the productions of Godspell, Fame Jr., Elf Jr, Legally Blonde Jr., and most recently The Addams Family! He is excited to work with students and develop the skills they have!

Jackie Parma

Jackie is excited to be back at CYT! Jackie has served as the choreographer for Godspell and Junie B. Jones, and assistant choreographer for Shrek. She has also taught several CYT classes in dance, musical theater, and puppetry. She can’t wait to continue her CYT journey! She's been a performer since the age of 2, singing in church and school choirs; and she has been dancing since she was 6, doing everything from tap, ballet and jazz to competitive cheer for 8 years. In recent years she has been able to further grow her love of theatre, having performed in nearly 30 productions in the San Antonio area and been involved on the tech crew for roughly 15 others. She is so excited and blessed to be a part of this CYT family and can't wait for another awesome session!
