Camp Description

Are you a teen looking for growth in your acting skills? From monologues and scenes that will be cast on Monday to performances on Friday, students will work on acting techniques and skills that will help them grow and honestly tell stories on stage. Don't miss this week of growth! Student work will be showcased in a public performance on Friday from 5-6pm at the CYT Studio.


Joshua Scott

Josh was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri and is a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He’s been married to his high school sweetheart, Gina, for 21 years, and the Scotts have three children: Kiersten, Isaiah, and Elijah. Josh taught in the North Carolina public school system for twelve years. Along the journey, he picked up professional acting, directing, and stage manager experience in New York, Virginia Beach, the mountains of North Carolina, and San Antonio. His favorite plays are Long Day’s Journey Into Night and Hamlet. Other favorites include: The Diviners, Noises Off, and the Broadway musical, Ragtime. Josh is now an Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall Texas. His actor training is rooted in Meisner and Practical Aesthetics. B.
